Spring Wellness Activities 2026

Birchtree students doing Dance/Movement Therapy activities
Birchtree’s day school students had a blast during weekly dance/movement therapy sessions this spring with Alexis Reale! The room was filled with joy as students and staff engaged in movement, explored rhythm, and connected through shared expression.

Beyond the fun, dance and movement are powerful ways for our students to stay active and express themselves. It’s more than just physical activity – it’s a powerful tool for building confidence while promoting self-regulation, supporting nonverbal communication, and fostering meaningful social connection.

We’re grateful for a generous donation from Marylou and Robert Blaisdell for allowing us to welcome Alexis Reale, MA, R-DMT, as Birchtree’s Artist in Residence this spring.

Birchtree’s students also enjoyed being active and engaged this spring during weekly Adapted PE classes led by graduate scholars from the Adapted Physical Education program at the UNH Kinesiology Department. We truly appreciate this partnership and the meaningful opportunities it brings to our day school students!

The UNH graduate scholars also practiced giving fitness assessments to Birchtree students this spring. Our students enjoyed the activities and the scholars were excellent leaders!
