Did you know that the law now known as the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) was the first federal legislation focused on special education in the United States? This week, we’re celebrating the 49th anniversary of the signing of this milestone legislation on December 2, 1975. It’s a great time to acknowledge and express our gratitude for the dedicated efforts of Birchtree’s special education team.
