On May 29th, Birchtree was delighted to participate in a gathering at The 801 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Seacoast Half Marathon. As a beneficiary of the race, first in 2018 and now again in 2025, Birchtree has been able to expand our programs and positively impact the lives of even more students with autism.
Attendees at the celebration included many of the current volunteer organizing committee along with past committee members, longtime race-day volunteers, past and present beneficiaries, the race’s visionary sponsor M&T Bank, and a few runners who have competed in the race every year since 2006.
Our executive Director Sandra Pierce-Jordan said “Birchtree is honored to stand alongside so many outstanding organizations that are making a real difference in our Seacoast community. In all my years, I’ve never seen such a dedicated network of volunteers and nonprofits working together to drive meaningful change.”
Over its 20-year history the race is approaching $2 million raised for Seacoast nonprofits! THANK YOU to the incredible committee members, volunteers, racers, sponsors, and supporters who make the Seacoast Half Marathon possible! And thanks also to JGroup Hospitality for their generous support of the evening’s festivities. It was a night to remember!
