A wide range of people benefit from Birchtree’s behavior and autism expertise. Our nonprofit offers high quality, research-based programs to serve individuals, families, schools, agencies, businesses, and organizations in our community.
Bringing Birchtree's Expertise to You: Birchtree’s Outreach Program
The behavior experts in Birchtree’s Outreach Program travel to offer consultation and services to benefit people including:
- Individuals from age three through adulthood who have developmental delays, developmental disabilities (including – but not limited to – autism), and/or behaviors that interfere with learning
- Families, caregivers, and educators of these individuals
- Public schools, community agencies, workplaces, and organizations looking for help with behavior challenges
Consultation and services by Birchtree’s Board Certified Behavior Analysts® (BCBAs®) are offered throughout New England. In-person direct services by Clinical Instructors and Registered Behavior Technicians® (RBTs®) are typically offered in southern New Hampshire, southern Maine, and northern Massachusetts. At Our Autism ABA Day School
Birchtree’s special education day school in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, is the only year-round school in our state that serves children and youth with autism exclusively.
To qualify for enrollment in Birchtree’s day school, students must be:
- Diagnosed with autism or a related disorder
- In grades preK-12 (up to age 21)
- Able to travel daily to Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Students from New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts typically attend our school.
Many day school students are also:
- Students who are not making progress within their public school settings and who could benefit from Birchtree’s behavior analytic approach to programming, intervention, and behavior change
- Students with behaviors that interfere with their ability to access their education within public school settings
